Hey all. Just a quick note before I run up to the
body shop to do the final sanding on my 72 SS clone. After 2 1/2 years of
working on it, the paint is finally on it! We posted 20 new current pictures
yesterday. They are on my website at http://www.noneckschevelle.com/album6s.htm .
I hope this inspires some of you who may be working on your cars and looking
down the road toward the day it gets painted! It'll happen, just keep at
it. My car has been in the body shop since January, where I did all the body
work myself. I really spent EVERY spare hour that I wasn't working at
my "real " job up there. I stripped off BOTH old paint jobs, hung the quarters,
and put patches in here and there and also rebuilt the interior of the drivers
inner door which had rotted corners. Thank god my wife is extremely supportive
and has not complained once. (Well, maybe once but not that I can
remember!) And I also got really lucky in that the body guy who was a
friend of a friend took the time to show me how to do all this and allowed me to
do it in his shop! Forgive me if I'm rambling but I'm excited and have not
finished my coffee yet!
