You can try this place for new glass, but beware, they're expensive.
Pokington Glass Search 1-800-848-1351. Safelite Autoglass uses them to find
glass. If they don't have it, they'll search for it.
If you have an old quarter window, you can polish it with Cerium Oxide
(CeO2), which you can buy at a hobby shop or at http://www.willbell.com or
http://www.microgrit.com/ceo.html as well. It is used to polish telescope
lenses. I'd use a hard rubber "lap" with a sheet of brown paper bag glued to
it. Use the CeO2 dry at first. It cuts a little finer when wet, so I would
change to the hard rubber surface for final polishing. These pads should be
about 2-3" square, more or less. Using it wet, it must be a really lean mix,
about a teaspoon of CeO2 to 4 oz. of water with a drop or two (not more) of
liquid dish detergent. Put it on the pad with an artist's brush.
BTW for those with newer cars with plastic lenses over the headlights, this
stuff will polish away the hazing that occurs after 5 or 6 years. Works like
crazy.
