Lon,
You shouldn't have any problems with the small blower setup. Make sure
your ignition and cooling systems are up to the task. The blower will produce
plenty of extra heat in the motor. Many recommend the use of a boost retard
for the ignition.
I run a centrifugal(ATI Procharger) supercharger at 8lbs in my 70
Chevelle. I shift the stock headed 396 at 5300rpm and run low 11's. My car
doesn't heat up ever but the centrifugal type doesn't hold as much heat in the
motor. I have stock rods, crank, old forged pistons(looks like factory
replacement), 8.5-9:1 comp, hyd cam, 6AL no retard box. On the street I have
run it up to 6200 without problems. I broke my converter so you might want to
invest in a blower converter.
