Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List ------------------------------------------------------------ I just searched the tech area at chevelles.com. There seems to be some mention that you have to put the spin-on adaptor on top of the original canister adaptor. Is this true? The block I have has nothing there except the dome-shaped metal protrusion, but there is no adaptor of any kind in there. Does this mean I have to find a canister adaptor now? Also, there is mention of needing a gasket above the spin-on adaptor. What type of gasket is this? Can I take a rubber one from an oil filter or is it supposed to be cork? I was really hoping to have the engine running this weekend w/ the extra day off and all. It's gonna s*ck if I can't do it because I'm missing some adaptor or gasket. As I mentioned earlier, a friend has a spin-on adaptor that he said I can have, but now I'm wondering if that's not the only thing I need.
