I am running MSD equipment for the whole ignition system on my 70. I used an
MSD 6AL box and the module gets completely bypassed and removed from the
distributor. As a bonus it has a built in rev limiter. I have mine set to
5400 RPM since the peak horsepower isn't much past there and I don't race it
anyway so no need to go any higher. Also the MSD 6AL has a kill switch if
you hook it up a certain way. I felt it was $170 well spent.
