Sure enough, just as we all suspected, the '70 windshield fits perfectly into my '69 Malibu. I now have the antennae in the windshield! My cost was $205.00. A bit steep, but it's installed by a pro, and has a lifetime gurantee (leaks, antennae, etc). The silicon sealer didn't turn out very smooth or clean, but it looks to me like it should seal just fine. Thanks for all the replies! > seributra_d wrote: > > The windshield for a 68-72 A-body hardtop coupe, 2-door sedan, or El > Camino, are the same, except for 1970-72, where an inside antenna was > standard for vehicles with AM/FM radios. > > The 4-door and wagon windshields are 1" taller, and here's the link: > > http://www.angelfire.com/tx/lonestarclassics/abodyinterchange.html > > > Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List > ------------------------------------------------------------ > > I know this may be comparing apples to oranges, but I know that on my > two > 1968 Oldsmobile convertibles, the windshield is about 1 inch shorter > than > the windshield for the 2dr hardtop model.
