My '69 SS Elky no longer has the 396 in it. It's now got a 427. So, the question is, did they make SS 427 Badges to go on '69's? I don't recall seeing any in any catalogs, but it seems they must've made them. Also, anyone know how cheap and easy it is to put a reliable 5sp, maybe a Richmond in in place of the 4spd? The Tremec looks nice, but its cost plus the cost of the install, which I figure could be like almost the cost of the tranny itself, keeps me from looking at it as I'm spending 5K on paint and body work now.
