Why do you think the cost of installing a Tremec is so high? It's close to a direct bolt in. You'll have to change the yoke on your driveshaft, cut a hole for the shifter base, and lower the transmission mount tab. When it was all said and done, this is all I had to do. Your stock bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate, etc will work. I would say that the Tremec is actually cheaper than the Richmond, and is advertised to handle an additional 100 or so ft lbs of torque.
