Donnie,     Ask the gentleman if he has removed the heater core cover (hopefully not an air car !) to check for the numbers ?  How about the numbers on the engine pad - the last six (?) numbers of the VIN match the title ?    Also, if it is a Canadian Chevelle, I believe they (GM of Canada) can supply information as to how the car was originally ordered.  Not sure how much that will help since it was cloned as an "SS".    Kent '68 Malibu ZZ502/502 :)
