I blew the power steering hose (earls braided stainless, replaced with crim on braided teflon) I guess it didnt like 4000 rpm, a brand new pump and 7 hrs of driving. got 18 miles per gallon with the 3.73s. it sounded so good at 4 grand and 80 mph across the desert. it ran like a top. Sean Martinez >> Each time I drove my 70 down to Maryland, i got roughly 16 mpg. And that was with a 500 HP big Block, TH400, 12 Bolt 4.10, and screamin @ 3700 RPMS doing 80 mph. I can't explain it. It only used 1/2 tank to go 150 miles. I am totally stumped, yet amazingly pleased with it.
