Ya well... sorry to burst your bubble but linux/unix has a lot of security
holes itself. No OS is perfectly secure. The difference I think is Unix
comes locked down and it takes some knowledge to unlock and use the OS
(which results in higher educated users using the OS).

As for Windows (I'm talking about 2000 and XP, because all the others are
garbage). Windows comes unlocked and useable out of the box and requires
some knowledge by the user to lock it down. Windows 2000 and XP can be
locked down to be secure (or as secure as any OS is gonna get). Another
factor is human error. As OS's get patches and updates, you still have to
have somebody APPLYing those patches. Many people are too lazy to do
that... just look at virus programs that aren't updated :)

Anyways... you can believe in anything you want.. santa, the tooth fairy,
the easter bunny, or the fact that unix is more secure :)... it's really
not. It's just that not as many people know how to use it, so you don't get
as many of the kiddie hackers.

Anyways.. I'll stop clogging up the list with non-chevelle related stuff..
feel free to email me off list if you wanna discuss it some more. :)
