[Chevelle-List] [Non-Chevelle] Computer questions (New Scanner)

Hey everyone, since we've lately been on the subject of computers, I thought I'd ask some pestering questions. 

First off, let me tell you, I had a lot of fun at Best Buy today.  I eventually left with a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse, a scanner, and I almost even walked out with a $500 digital camera, but thankfully I gained my senses before that part :o)

Now about my question... It's this new scanner.  It's a Canon CanoscanN670U.  Apparently I wasn't thinking at the time, but it's only for Windows 98 and Windows 98/2000 Professional.  I only have windows 95.  I was wondering if it would work anyways, because I REALLY don't want to take it back.  Everything plugs in fine, the problem is that the computer is not recognizing the new "Hardware."  Anyone know what I should do?  I sure as hell don't.

I guess now would be a good time to switch to Windows 98 or 2000, but I'd much rather find a way for it to work with 95.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
