I had a similar problem where I replaced a 307 with a 350 and the 350 had an 11" clutch. I went on eBay and looked at available Chevy starters, bell housings, etc. I bought a used bell housing and a brand new Delco high torque starter. The starter cost me $100 and everyone said "I'd love it" including the seller. Everyone was right but you need to buy special lenth bolts (you can only get them from GM). In my case the seller of the starter also sold the correct length bolts. I'd take a look at eBay - it's a good place to ask questions about specific parts to the seller. >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: [Chevelle-List] Tech help ( Starter ) >Date: Wed, 2 Jan 2002 09:50:26 EST > > >Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List >------------------------------------------------------------ > >Morning...... > >My name is John ( papawheels ) recently acquired a 66 Chevelle Malibu that >Iam in the process of restoring.
