Okay, I'm painting my '69 Elky SS. Currently I only have liability on it, with GEICO Ins. They insure my other two vehicles, a corvette and a jetta. They are the cheapest for me, living in the SF Bay Area, California. Currently, I'm paying $149. for 6 months of coverage on my Elky. Ouch, I know. So I'm trying to decide, can I afford to get full coverage on the Elky once it's fixed up? I call GEICO. They put me in touch with their classic car division. For a value of $12,000 on the Elky, they quote me a cost of $250 a year. FULL coverage will cost me less than liability now! And, that's for a "modified" car. A stock car is even less.
