I think but I have heard this from a claims rep and some others. If the car is 2 years old or newer you can force or put pressure on an insurance company to use factory parts. Anything outside of the 2 year window is subject to the will of the insurance company. Again, I had heard this from various folks in conversation on the subject matter.
