Hello Chevelle Buddies.... Iam having a dilema here , restoring a 66 Chevelle Malibu HT. When I got this baby of mine she had nothing in the engine compartment . Heads , block , water pump , power steering pump. Since I started we have replaced starter ( with help from here ) solenoid, dist. , cap /rotor , fan blade , fuel pump , carb , valve covers , headers and spark plug wires.Configured the wiring from the butcher who had her before me. No we are almost ready to fire her up but we have come but we are having problems locating correct upper and lower hoses, correct water pump pulley and correct aligment of where the belts go to. I know the car calls for 2 belts , not being familar with this engine Iam having a problem installing which belt to which assembly. Plus when I align the belts with the pulley there seems to be a slight variation with alignment. Are there spacers that can be used ? And what is the difference between a long water pump pulley and a short water pump pulley ? I know Iam asking alot here but we are so close to putting some life in to her . The engine is a 350 cu. in . horse ( unknown ) . The radiator is stock 66 Chevelle. The neck is to the drivers side. Must have seen 100 hoses tonight, some of these guys in the auto part stores amaze me that they work there, some are good but some just dont know nuttin. So I have to seek advice from the chevelle guru's. Hope you guys can help me ....thanks for your time John ( 66 Chevelle ) ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
