    For the hose problem you have I'd suggest you just measure the length
you need with a tape measure and buy one of those generic hoses with the
coiled spring inside.  That'll get you over that problem and on to the next
one.  If originality bothers you, worry about it later.  You can shop for
the correct hose while you drive the car!

    For pulleys, do you know if you have all the correct brackets and
pulleys for the engine setup?  There is a series of pulleys and brackets for
a short water pump and a series for the long water pump.  Do you have a
short pump or a long one?  I bought a complete set of pulleys from a man who
took them off of a '72 Chevelle (long pump), so when I went in to the parts
store I asked for belts for a '72 Chevelle.
    If you have a long pump, but are asking for belts for a '65 (that came
with the short pump) you are going to get the wrong belts.  You should ask
for a '70 or newer (I think the change to long pump was final in '70) to get
the right belts.
