I too am in a buying situation, however in my research a nice turn key with
limited work will run you 15K - 20K. My range is 8K - 10K for one that is
all there, solid, but could use a complete go through. On limited fiances
you'll have to be willing to put more sweat equity into it. If you want a
true SS you'll need to educate your self on identifying a true SS from a
clone. But hey I'm looking too, so any buying info to Craig's question
would be greatly appreciated.

As Spring get closer and closer each day, I become more excited
about locating a Chevelle. As I have said before I am really interested
in a 69 or 70 SS. Since I'm not a mechanic and am unfamiliar with what to
look for, can anyone give me some tips of what I could be aware of.
I am looking for a turn key car, I can do some work, interior
etc.,but don't want to buy a car and then have to pay someone a fortune
to bring it up to par. I'm not a mechanic or body man so I will have to
rely on some outside work. My finances are somewhat limited, meaning I
can't go out and by a $15,000 SS. Can someone give me some advise so I
don't get taken. Thanks for any help.
Craig
