We had the same problem in our previous car ('87 Olds 98) I took it to the
dealer and had some installed which mounted on the back deck and the only
ones you could get were the over the shoulder adjustable by a slide clip
only. They didn't offer any retractable type for ours either. Maybe ther is
somewhere on your Chevelle that there is to be able to mount the adjustable
type. I guess they'd be better than no shoulder harness at all.
