[Chevelle-List] Should I buy

I'm stuck.  A friend of mine wants to sell a 68 Chevelle SS.  The body and everything was just redone.  New paint etc.  It needs an engine and transmission, it's a 4 speed.  The only think I don't like about it, is the hood, which has a six inch rise in it and the interior, in which they put a red velvet strip in the center of the seats.  He'll sell to me for $7,500.  Can anyone give me advise.  Is this a good deal or what. Thanks.    Craig
