if you read further the info sheet also states that GM Canada may have information on US built cars sold in Canada ........ie they have info on the COPO 427 Cameros that were built in Baltimore but sold in Canada.

The whole point is that you can't go wrong phoning the toll free number cause they will not charge you if they have no info.

I believe that GM Canada would have kept the records and spec sheets for some of the cars they imported up from the US for sale here , it then becomes a matter of which cars they kept records for...........I mean you don't think that the US shipped cars here in the 60's without any sort of build sheet info , options etc going along with the car,  and that GM Canada just put these cars on the lot without knowing anything about them do you?

It just stands to reason that GM Canada kept documentation on the vehicles they shipped to dealers including some that were imported from the US before distribution to various Canadian dealerships. I don't know this for a fact but it seems reasonable givin that they kept records of cars they made here .

If the vin number has a letter in the middle it is U.S. built so it is doubtful we would have any info unless it was originally sold in Canada. If the vin has the number 1 it is usually a Canadian built car and we should have info on it. If we have no info then there is no charge.
