Mel,All you need is the dist, cap, rotor, coil, wires, new spark plugs while your at it. MSD sells a really nice unit already complete for $330. Is a billet HEI dist complete with cap/rotor/coil. It has a vacuum advance unit on it as well. it does not utilize the stock type GM module, however it will get bypassed if you install an MSD 6AL ignition box, which I already have done (wanted that rev limiter :) ). I plan on ordering one of these distributors in the very near future.

PS: Don't forget to swap out those old ballast wires in the wiring harness :)
