I know several people that claim both increased power and better/quieter exhaust system noise with an X-pipe installed. However, I believe they're all using the Dr. Gas version, which is definitely more expensive than the Magnaflow. A friend of mine actually did a little bit of research as he was considering making his own; I'll see if I can pick his brain. Brad O.
