I sure wouldn't overlap weld a floor pan even in my driver. I think that would definitely be unprofessional.   Kelly & Jana Hanna El Camino Country www.hannawoodworks.com On Team Chevelle. there is alot of info regarding that subject.  In a nut shell it's a straight forward deal if you have a welder (mig).  For show car's you but weld for drivers you overlap and weld. As long as the floor brace is not rusted it's not a big deal
