1850?  Nah, it's junk.. just wrap it up and ship it my way.. ;-)

The 1850 is a 600 CFM carb like you said and probably the most common
aftermarket carb out there.  Single feed fuel inlet, square-bore, with
non-adjustable secondaries.  They are good carbs and can be easily upgraded
to dual-inlet and adjustable secondaries.  I run one of these carbs on my
350-powered El Camino.  Simple and reliable (I'm am a decided Holley fan,
though).

You said the carb and intake were on a 454-- that's fine as long as there
isn't much more than a stock cam in there.  The Performer RPM intake will
support 11-12 second passes, but you'd probably need at least a 750 cfm carb
to go that fast on a 454.  Anything else you want to know?
