The 0,0,0 are body zero datums. The fore-aft, or
longitudinal zero is at the front of dash. The
cross-car zero is based on the centerline of vehicle.
The up-down zero in modern vehicles is based on the
bottom outside of material of the rocker panel. I
believe it used to be based on the bottom of the frame
rail for our vintage of cars. These are x,y,z
dimension values. X, is length. Y, is width. Z, is
height. I'm a draftsman/designer for GM. Hope this
