Something I just got feegured out ( I think) was that the 400 was "renamed" a 3L80 in the early 90's,,,,predecessor to the 4L80 which included OD,,,same gear ratio with the exeption of the .75 OD ratio......Happy find for me seeing the guy I got it from thought it was a 350 and "had" to get rid of it due to relocation....
