I'd go for a convertible over the H/T.  You can always upgrade.

So, I am looking at 2 cars. One is a 71 SS convert. 350 with air.  The other 
is a 454, no air.  How hard is it to add air to a car?  Does it lessen the 
value, since it wouldn't be original?  I think that I would paint the 350,

had a 350 before and it was plenty quick, but I always wanted it to be 
quicker, but I also have a 14 year old who will be wanting to drive it and
