The pass side can be put in with the engine in place. Jack up the car, put in from the bottom. It's tight, but it'll go. I just did it yesterday.
The driv side must be put in along with the engine. It's pretty tight. I'm not sure about just raising the engine.

I almost tried the Dynomax from AutoZone. They're much cheaper, but I already had the Hookers on order before I learned of this.
