Use hydraulic fluid, just like they use in fork lifts, they are just bigger rams and that is what is used.Hydraulic fluid never breaks done. The convert systems bleed themselves when you put the top up and down. When you pull the little rubber plug off of the motor to fill it ,let the oil start to seep out and put the plug back in and then raise the top,you will here the lines gurgling as they try to purge themselves.Pull the plug off the motor again and you will find it needs to be filled again.Repeat this process until it won't hold any more, and you can see the clear lines are full of fluid.

Has anyone on the list had any experience with adding fluid to the convertible top pump.

What is the procedure?

What type of fluid?

How do you bleed it?

I have new cylinders, but not sure how to proceed?

Thanks, BZ
