In GM's own literature, the M10 3-speed w/overdrive was only available on the 283 and L6 engines in '67 since it was semi-automatically engaged. Again, for '67, the literature shows:
327/275 Std 3-spd, Special 3-spd, 4-spd wide ratio and Powerglide 327/325 Special 3-spd, 4-spd wide and 4-spd close ratio 396/325 Std Special 3-spd, 4-spd wide, Powerglide and TH400 396/350 Std Special 3-spd, 4-spd wide and close ratio, Powerglide and TH400. There were TWO manual 3-speeds available a standard 3-spd and the SS "Special" 3-spd also came with a floor-mounted shifter. The M13 "Special" 3-spd was standard on 67 SS 396 models and optional (over the std 3-spd) on other models. The console could only be ordered with bucket seats and the console was not available when the overdrive transmission was ordered. So, the only way to get the overdrive 3-spd was with an L6 or 283 V8 (eliminating the SS models) AND you had to order it with column shift whether buckets were ordered or not. That is, unless you talked a dealer into some odd-ball combination and that would be reflected on the final bill-of-sale and not on a POP or window sticker. The M40 TH400 was only avail on the SS 396 models.
