My '69 sits too high in the front. I have new set of TRW OEM replacement BBC springs, and yes a BBC engine. I've really not lightened the front end much, but I have a FG hood, aluminum intake and aluminum radiator. Everything else is pretty much stock.
Any suggestions on how I could lower this 1"-2" ? Properly? I cut a coil off my existing springs, and it dropped too far to be driveable (tires hit inner fenders, header nearly on the ground, etc). I do have a new set of SBC springs, but I wonder if they would be appropriate. I guess it's only labor to install them and see..... Although I hate to do it. It's all I can do to compress a spring with 2 hands, set it in place, push up the lower aframe with one foot, and put the ball joint nut on with my other foot.... And not pop a vein in the process. :-) Thanks for any suggestions... -- Check out my webpage at http://www.ProStreetCar.com and my For Sale page at http://www.ProStreetCar.com/classifieds.html Tremec Distributor at http://www.tremectransmissions.com/ Team Chevelle membership #178 (Gold) ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
