My motor is a .030 over 454 (460) with 10:1 compression and my cam specs
are quite similar to yours, although mine is a hydraulic roller so it's
a touch more radical.

.587 intake lift, 226 duration @ .050
.610 exhaust lift, 234 duration @ .050
112 degree lobe center

The idle is quite lopey but I'm still able to pull 12 inches of vacuum
at idle so my power brakes still work. It keep the idle about 1000 so it
doesn't shake the car too much. I knew it would be the way it is, so I'm
good with it. I kept my car street legal, but it will see a whole lot
more track than street and I built it accordingly. I have a 3000 stall
converter and 3.89 gears. The motor still makes plenty of bottom end
power but it's pretty lumpy.

The cam you ordered would work with your 4.10 rear gear and 4 speed,
although, based on your posts, this cam will be stretching the limits of
what you say you are comfortable with.

I agree with Keith. The cam is only one varible in the whole scheme of
things. You need to decide what the car is going to be used for. If you
are using it as a daily driver, or even a Sunday driver, the cam you
ordered is probably way too big. If a lopey idle is all you are worried
about the cam will be fine but the lumpy idle will come with a cost. If
you want something you can "take out of town", go with less cam.
