Are ya sure that is not "Assembled in America" ;-) like most of them are.  I think all the parts are still made in Japan. I also know of a guy that races a Chevelle at Atco Raceway here in NJ
and went through like 5  502  crate engines until he got one that did not have a bent crankshaft. 
Also, I think I read on the Tech Board that you are staying at the Motel 6 in TN.  That is where I am staying as well.
