Mounted to the quarter glass is a horizontal metal plate about 3" from the 
bottom corner of the glass.  This has two plastic rollers and a short 
(approx. 4") metal track.  Then, on the lower corner is another plastic 
roller by itself.  I assume you're referring to this last one.

They're not too hard to remove.  Just dowse it with WD40 and unscrew the 
plate on the opposite side.  It has two holes in it for this purpose.
