appears twice.

Geez, I thought that all of you guys who complain about ill-fitting repros
would be happy - ok, just a joke.

Actually they didn't mention lenses. Definitely emblems, certain moldings,
and sheet metal though.

It definitely is about money. They have stockholders to keep happy. If
nobody wants their stock, they have no business. If they can find ways to
make more money without increasing costs, their stock goes up.

GM is not discouraging competition per se. They are not telling these people
that they can't make the parts (or have them made in other countries), and
they are not talking about competing against these people by making the
parts themselves. They are saying that they deserve a cut though, because
they're the ones who spent money on R&D, manufacturing, and marketing to
bring these cars to popularity in the first place. Also, these businesses
are not "little guys". Manufacturing on this level is big business.

I'm not arguing or saying that anybody else's opinion is wrong. In fact, I'd
like to hear them. I'm just saying what I assume is their side of the story.
