Naw, he was one of those practical guys, unlike his son. I wanted him to put a
350 in it but I decided to just stay out of the way. For some reason I didn't
understand he hadn't killed me yet and I didn't want to push my luck.

He had a good friend of his put a rebuilt short block in it and he had a valve
job done. Then he went along on his merry, 2 barrel, 307 powered way.

I don't recall ever driving the car again though. As a matter of fact, that
was the end of me driving my Mom's 67 Bonneville too (Boy, could that thing
lay down a one tire smoke screen).
