While test-driving as part of a reassembly, I am not sure the secondaries are opening on my Holley Street Avenger. I have an open element air cleaner.
In the old days my 400 sb with a quadrajet would really howl when the secondaries opened up. It sounded really cool. I don't hear a sound like that now, and I am wondering if the secondaries are opening up at all? Maybe that sound was specific to that engine or carb? Can anyone else hear when the secondaries are opened up and the engine is running under load?
