This is a funny string and I would like to chime in. I am 40 now and when I was 16-18 I thought I new everything about driving a car at high speeds and cutting the apex in a corner, hell I did some dirt Roundy round at 17. had a 68 chevelle and drove crazily fast all the time. Ha!!! Drum breaks all around ball joints about to fall out. Then this guy throws a tricycle out in front of me in my neighborhood, he' about my age now with little kids playing in the yard and I'm driving 50 in a neighborhood hood. Stupid now that I look back. Him and I got in a fight and the law came. Getting real ugly now. I didn't get in trouble I was under age and he hit me first. I would of kick my but too.
Then the cops showed me some pictures of a high speed accident that happened not far from my house. This guy was driving over a 100 mph on a nice highway to do it on when his lower ball joint let loose and he veered off the highway and across the side road and went right through a putt-putt course with families playing and wiped out and entire family. He was sober and just driving his car to have fun. point made take it to the track. I have a lot of war stories of street racing. Sure I had a blast, > but when we were talking about it afterwards, He was saying "Oh I know the > limits of the car." I bet your friend never had his brake system fail huh? Or something totally outside his control happen while driving? He will live and learn, and hopefully it is not at someone else's expense. Its funny how young people's attitude changes once they become parents themselves.... --------------------- Kurt Ehrhardt ACES #1280 66 Malibu 66 SuperSport Enfield, CT ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
