I intend to have my 454 rebuilt this coming winter/spring season and have
never done this before. This will be the motors first rebuild that I know
of and I have a couple questions.

When redoing the cylinders, is it always bored over?
Is this the norm?
If so, how much should I expect or consider going over?
Will this diminish the value of this completely stock motor?
If you were having your motor rebuilt, what things would you make sure were
done and please if possible, feel free to get detailed in the
parts/procedure descriptions.
Any precautions you might take to make sure you get back the same 454 with
all the same parts. (less the ones that will be replaced of course) Maybe I
am paranoid but it seems to me these motors are very valuable and thus a
target for a switch of parts? true?

Thanks for any help and I apologize for my lack of knowledge.
