a guy at the MCC/ACES NE Regional at North East, MD who owned 2 Z-16's and
he claimed the magic number is really 200 and the convertable doesn't exist.
By the way, he was driving a black Z-16, not entered in the show, and a
daily driver. Fair condition and dirty. Almost a rag in my book. It was
almost inconceivable to me that a guy would have a item of this historical
significance in the condition that it was. Just a few hours elbow would
have have this thing looking pretty good. Said he paid $37,500 for it I
don't remember when. I wonder what his other one looked like?

a 327/365 vette engine with solids. The L-79 was hydraulics and even though
there was rumor of the factory playing around, I understand it never got
out. Doesn't stop a few magazine articles over the years and a couple of
guys claiming the real thing!

all the mental tech stuff and just have fun with the history of our beloved
machines. Especially for the younger guys who may be thinking "What the
Hell is he talking about?"

all 65 CHEVELLES. V31 ($19.95 / 15,200 made) was the number for the fronts
and V32 ($9.70 / 11,037 made) for the backs.the V32 will also work on the
back of the 64 chevelle.you can usually pick them up for about $175.00 a set
NOS ($350.00 for both) around $100 a set for used and $125 for rechromed
.the rear trim pieces you are referring to are z-16 only . two years ago
those three pieces were selling for $8500.00 in Hemmings. last year a fellow
decided to reproduce those 3 pieces he sells them for $2500.00. if any one
is interested in buying some i do have a buddy that has a set for sale right
now. your heading indicates a z-16 convertible. the funny thing is no one i
have ever talked to has ever seen the one that is supposed to excist. there
was a proto type el camino convertible with a 396 that i think everyone is
referring to. i will have to read that article.
