Fast?  I never thought that the old muscle cars were "fast", only "powerful".  My dad told me his 67 chevelle would only go 100 mph,  but it would smoke the tires through first and second, and chirp in 3rd.  it was a 396.  I heard the 440's were monsterous and extremely powerful and would beat the 396's...but I don't want to debate on that, lol.  I dont know if I said this before, but I met a guy at my grandparent's 50th anniversity a couple days back and he had a 1970 Daytona Charger with a 440 six pack, and he said that his friend rode with him once and told him "muscle car, my ass!", so chuck punched it at 20 mph and broke the tires loose and before you know it, they were on the freeway at 130 mph and chuck told me his friend was crying, "slow down, slow down".  It was a good story.  :)                                                                                                                                                     Chad   ----- Original Message ----- From: Don To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 4:38 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] Car Poll...Favorite Year?   They are nice.
