It has the "V" emblems on the front fenders but no CID callout; would this be a 283 car (I didn't pop the hood)? It has a column-shift automatic with the PG shift pattern but I can't be sure it really is a PG and not a TH350 or something else. Also, aside from "Chevelle" on the tailgate the "V"s are the only emblems. The taillights are vertical and divided into 3 sections. While the car has Rally wheels they don't look good enough to draw one's attention from the fact that every panel save for maybe the roof and hood needs work, mostly rust repair. It looks like the rear quarters may have been bondo'd. The interior is shot, unless duct tape was a factory option in '66. =8^o The right rear cargo bay window is apparently missing or broken, as yet more duct tape covers it completely. At this point I walked away. It's a serious project or destined to end up a drag, parts, or demo derby car. The seller's asking $3000 OBO; while I admit I'm not current on '66 values it seems like a high price for a vehicle apparently needing a complete resto. But maybe the half-dozen tires in the cargo bay go with the car, making it a better deal. ;^) And I don't know what's under the hood; maybe the seller's related to John Lingenfelter and picked up something special to up the value.
