I don’t want to step in front of Pablo, but I will be pulling the 230-6 & powerglide out of my ’66 in the next few weeks & it will be for sale.

Subject: [Chevelle-List] straight six

I swapped a straight six engine for a V8 an Lo and Behold someone wants to buy the six cylinder.  Now if I could talk confidently about the motor I believe I might fetch a better price.  I am not finding much information so I am asking for help.

How do you determine whether the engine is a 194 or 230 cubic inch ?  I don't have the numbers off the engine it is not handy.  I was wondering about appearance wise.

What would be a fair asking price for a good running engine to someone who is looking to replace and bad engine in a pickup.  overday
