1964 Chevelle 300 two door, as far as I

What did the six come out of; year, model, etc?
I swapped a straight six engine for a V8 an
Lo and Behold someone wants to buy the six cylinder. Now if I could
talk confidently about the motor I believe I might fetch a better
price. I am not finding much information so I am asking for
help.
How do you determine whether the engine is a
194 or 230 cubic inch ? I don't have the numbers off the engine it
is not handy. I was wondering about appearance wise.
What would be a fair asking price for a good
running engine to someone who is looking to replace and bad engine in a
pickup. overday
