You won't believe it but the body on both cars lined right up when I dropped them back on.  It just takes some patience and 2 bumper jacks.  I had to muscle the 69 around a little, but it was no big deal.  Another word of advice.  When you are ready to remount the body, put antiseize on the bolts.  After I got them started, I used the impact gun to crank em down :-).  I found it easier to work from the back up towards the front when installing the body bolts.
The body of the older cars are alot more rigid than the new ones.  Like I said, my 70 sat up on the lift for quite a while and never sagged, which was my biggest worry.
