Raj,
From your description it sounds like you are
describing a plate that is installed in the dash to cover the opening for a
non-A/C car. Is it black in color, made of plastic, and has
CHEVROLET highlighted in chrome/silver ? I believe it
would be installed in the top opening of the dash, above the heater/fan
controls. Do you remember if there were any heater/fan controls in
the dash ?
The Heater Delete plates I was referring to
are actually installed on the firewall in the engine compartment, and are made
of stamped steel. They are used to cover the openings in the firewall when
a vehicle was ordered without a heater, think: Arizona,Hawaii, etc. There
are two plates, the small one is in the shape of a circle often called a "top
hat". The other is shaped somewhat like a map of the U.S.A. (?).
That is about the best description I can come up with, without my morning
coffee. :)
