Black slag is equivalent to sand but much safer for the guy doing the job (no silica) It is great for frame work. Removes little metal, leaves a nice surface for paint adhesion. I have done two frames myself with it and they both turned out great. I have used lots of black slag and prefer it for most blasting but my opinion would be that it is too abrasive for the body. I would use plastic beads for the body. Unless the frame is perfect w/o rust I don't think plastic beads will clean it as well as slag. Frame = slag Body = plastic My .02 Now that should really confuse things :)
