I'm not sure how you'd verify the right ones -- other than trusting the yard you do business with. This might not be the best answer, but if you cant trust them, why do business with them? I suppose a good test would be getting Caprice wheel bearings and make sure they slide on properly.
The lug nut spacing is *the* reason for getting the 3rd gen Camaro/Firebird rotors. Most people who do this swap are interested in keeping their current wheels. Also, you'll end up with front wheels that have a different bolt pattern than the rear wheels. Other than this, I dont know of a reason not to use Caprice rotors. You can use Caprice calipers with either set of rotors. I used Caprice calipers with Camaro rotors and everything works fine. -Dave -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:owner-chevelle-list@;chevelles.net]On Behalf Of Chevelle 69 Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 9:13 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Chevelle-List] Dic brake upgrade - new twist? Ok, I went out and bought a set of spindles off a 94 caprice. $30 each side. How do I verify I got the right ones? Why again ..other than the rim lug nut spacing do I want to get rotors from an earlier Camaro/Firebird? If the lug bolt spacings are the only thing, couldn't I go with a rim that would fit a 5 inch pattern? ...then I could use the 94 Caprice rotors and calipers right?
