Bob, you want to use a lacquer paint for you interior plastic. Wash in mild soap. If you can, soak it overnight first in soapy water, then wash and rinse really good. You should also use a good wax and grease remover just before painting. You can buy the paint at an auto paint store in pints, quarts. Or you can get it in a spray can from any of the restoration places. All the paint shops should have a catalog
with the paint codes by year. Also anyone interested in painting their frame, brackets, engine bay, etc. check this site out.
